Environmental and disease monitoring in the northern aquaculture area

Aquaculture is facing many challenges related to diseases and environmental pollution. Environmental disease monitoring in aquaculture help authorities planning management, provide technical measures support farmers. The study was carried out from January October 2020, including 13 sites of supply water brackish shrimp farming areas Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Tri, Thua Thien Hue; 11 clam/mollusc Thai Thanh Hoa, Ninh; cage Hoa Yen Bai, Hai Duong, with 23 times the inlet for shrimp, 7 tilapia freshwater culture. Alkalinity, ammonia, nitrite, total Vibrio, VpAHPND values were higher than Vietnam’s standard, valued at 12.37, 25.08, 16.67, 3.68, 0.67% respectively. Salinity, nitrite values, Vibrio mollusc which 23.38, 33.77, 32.50, 3.9%, Chemical oxygen demand 29.87 22.08%, Timely recommendations warnings helped farmers minimise damage caused by pollution diseases.
